Kristin Godfrey, LMSW, CPT
Kristin has excelled as a certified personal trainer for 8 years and has an extensive background in athletics. She has worked at various fitness clubs and has provided one-on-one training, group training, and specialized classes for elite athletes. She worked closely with collegiate teams to improve their strength and conditioning. She has also worked closely with children that have disabilities and children that need to build self-esteem. With an extensive background in fitness and athletics, Kristin is also a Licensed Masters of Social Work. Her goal is to provide support and help you gain empowerment and confidence. Her main objective is to make you have a sound mind in a sound body.
In High School, she was named Athlete of the Year while being a three sport athlete and receiving accolades in each sport.
During Kristin’s basketball career, she was captain of her varsity team and named player of the year. She also received All-Division awards for two consecutive years.
Kristin also competed on the Varsity cross country team and was named league champion and honored as an All Division athlete.
Kristin’s biggest accomplishments started on the field for lacrosse. She started playing defense as a sophomore and by her senior year, she was honored with an All-Conference Award. Kristin was recruited to play at Long Island University at the C.W. Post Campus for Women’s Lacrosse on an athletic scholarship. She walked on to the women’s basketball team and competed for the Cross-Country team as well.
Kristin led her lacrosse team to the NCAA semi-finals in 2004 and 2006. She was honored with NYACC and ECC All-Conference, IWLCA All-North Region, and Pre-Season All-American awards. In her senior year, Kristin was named team captain and led her team in caused turnovers. In 2007, her team was undefeated (17-0) and the defensive unit she headed never let up more than 6 goals. Her last game as a C.W. Post Pioneer ended in a victory, as her team became NCAA Division II Champions.
In 2006, Kristin travelled to Australia and competed on the USA International team in the Down Under Cup. She competed against the top teams from Japan, Australia, and England. Placing 2nd in the competition, Kristin enjoyed the experience and playing overseas.
In 2008, Kristin played in the Lacrosse European Championships in Lahti, Finland while on the Woman’s Irish National Lacrosse Team. She completed against elite teams such as the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Scotland, Austria, England, Whales, and Czech Republic. The competition, along with each player’s biography was featured in the The Ultimate Athlete Magazine.
In 2010, Kristin participated in her first the Long Island Half Marathon, to help support a young girl with a rare blood disease.
